Lennox Broadens Outdoor Offerings with the Introduction of the Merit™ Plus Indoor/Outdoor Wood-Burning Fireplace
ORANGE, CA (January 11, 2006) - Adding more choices to the growing outdoor fireplace market, Lennox Hearth Products (LHP) is proud to introduce the Merit™ Plus Stainless Steel Wood-Burning Fireplace. Available in two of the most popular wood-burning framing sizes and with a minimum clearance to combustibles, these fireplaces fit easily into almost any space and work in a number of indoor or outdoor design plans.

The stainless steel front face and lintels make this fireplace an ideal choice to complement the design of a kitchen area equipped with stainless steel appliances, or for any contemporary living space inside the home. Used outdoors, the large stainless steel fire grate, stainless steel curtain fire screen and heavy concrete refractory provide exceptional weather resistance for years of carefree enjoyment.
Additionally, the Merit Plus uses Security Chimneys™ 8” chimney system, the most popular in the industry, so there are no surprises with installation or availability.
This new fireplace is available in either 36” or 42” sizes. Design features include realistic brick interior liners, glass doors and door trim options and a stainless steel fire grate. Outdoor options include a stainless steel weather cover and brushed stainless finish bi-fold glass doors with stainless hinges and hardware. Combustion air kits are available for indoor use.
