Lennox Announces Upgrades To Superior Vent-Free Gas Series
ORLANDO (January 13, 2005) – Lennox Hearth Products (LHP) recently enhanced its popular Superior line of Vent-Free Gas Fireplaces (VF-4000-2, VF-5000-2, VF-6000-2, VF-ST-2 and VF-PF-2). The improved VF-5000-2 will be featured at the International Builders Show in Booth # W-1771.
The upgrade to the line includes an enhancement to LHP’s popular Superior line of Vent-Free Gas Logs (VFGL-4) that are sold either individually or with the fireboxes above. This next generation of fireplaces and VFGL-4 logs meets the 2005 version of the ANSI Z21.11.2 standard.
Last September, Consumers Digest named the VF-4000 Superior fireplace from Lennox as one of its “Best Buys,” in the Gas Fireplace and Logs category. They cited the fireplaces “wide variety of factory-installed options,” in their evaluation.
Consumers who install a simple gas line to their existing wood-burning masonry or manufactured firebox can turn their fireplace into an efficient heater using Superior vent-free log sets, which are available in three lengths: 18, 24 and 28-inch.
The new logs are made from special heat-resistant, lightweight ceramic fiber that mimics naturally charred real wood and produces beautiful glowing coals while burning.
Other options include remote controls (for standing millivolt models only), a wall switch and thermostat. An adjustable hood is also available to protect the mantle.
