Lennox Appoints Daniel Seaman president of Lennox Hearth Products

(DALLAS, TX. -- MAY 2, 2002) Lennox Industries announced the appointment of Daniel L. Seaman to the role of president, Lennox Hearth Products (LHP), effective May 1st. Seaman was most recently president of ThermaSys Heat Transfer, a major heat transfer company based in Montgomery, Alabama. He replaces Susan Herndon, who will assist Seaman with his transition to LHP and then rejoin Lennox’ commercial group as vice president, National Accounts.

"Susan has accomplished many significant milestones that have correctly positioned LHP to take a dominant position in the hearth industry by excelling in the areas of customer focus with innovative new premium products and services," said Scott Boxer, president, Lennox Industries. "We’re confident Dan’s background and experience are uniquely suited to build upon the LHP vision and initiatives Susan started."

An operations and P/L executive with over 30 years of business experience, Seaman has a deep background in lean manufacturing implementation and has significant experience in improving multi-plant operations, integrating acquisitions, and rationalizing operations.

Seaman has earlier experience as a vice president & general manager for one of the ThermaSys divisions and as vice president, operations for both Ranco North America and the Jacobs Chuck Manufacturing Company. He has also served as a manufacturing consultant both independently and with Coopers & Lybrand, assisting companies with lean manufacturing. Seaman has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.
